Handmade Christmas Cards By Sammy

Handmade Christmas Cards
By Sammy

For this project, Sammy wanted to make his very own Christmas cards for his mates at school. I had quite a few plain white blank cards and envelopes in my own supplies and that's what Sammy used as his base for the cards.

Sammy and I measured the size to cut a piece of patterned paper, to cover the front of the white card. He chose several different patterns from the Echo Park A Cosy Christmas Collection and used  the cutting board to cut them.

He used double sided tape to adhere the patterned paper on to the white card base.

While Sammy was gluing down the front of the card, I used the Cottage Cutz Merry Christmas Tree Phrase in the Big Shot and cut a few for Sammy to use on the cards. Sammy also cut out a few of the 3x4 cut outs from the paper range, so he could mix and match.

I also used the Tim Holtz Thinlits Alterations Largest size die so Sammy could have a layer under the Merry Christmas sign.

I also used a one and half inch circle die to cut holes out of the front of the cards so Sammy could put a small piece of double-sided tape in the middle to add a chocolate coin to the center.

Sammy also stamped a "Merry Christmas" inside each of his cards.

So I thought Sammy was finished now but he had one more step to go. He grabbed his Gel Pens that were sent by Aunty Vera as a gift and he decided to draw something on the front of the envelopes that each of his mates/friends liked or liked to do...He really, really loves those pens Aunty Vera...lol lol

So below are the finished handmade designed Christmas cards made by Sammy...with a little help using the Big Shot and dies from nanny...
I think he was so thoughtful to add a personal touch of a drawing on the envelopes that each of his friends likes or likes to do.

Below I have a video of me showing you two of Sammy's projects...the tree decoration and the cards...

Hope you enjoy!
