Tag Crate -Songs About Rainbows

Image
Tag Crate   I don't think I got all of the 'home decor' or should I say...'craft room decor' out of my system from a couple of months ago, which is how this easy project came about. I had this very plain crate and thought it would look wonderful, decorated up and used as a holder for some inspiration tags. I wanted it sitting on my craft table, filled with tags that I could look at and find inspiration. I really adore how this turned out and it does look fabulous sitting on my desk with some beautiful tags in it that I had recently purchased from our own lovely Art Craft and Journals Creative Team Member.  I am going to be using the 'Wishes' 12x12 sheet of paper from Magical Forest Collection. This is like a dusty pink background with some bluey/grey stars on it. It is such a pretty colour and I think it will look great on my crate. I cut some strips for the sides of the crate and these measured at 1.8cm x 17 1/2 cm. I also wanted the paper covering the ends

Little Book of Rooms -Songs about Rainbows.

A Little Book of Rooms This is a gorgeous little project that was inspired by Kaye Williamson from one of her projects on her blog from 2016. They look so cute and would make a wonderful gift for a friend or for someone who is feeling down. You can add an affirmation to the inside of the rooms or a positive saying or quote to brighten up a persons day. I think they are so gorgeous. To start making your Little Book of Rooms, you will need two pieces of chipboard that measure 2inches by 2inches. These will be covered and used as the cover for your book. You will need to cut two papers to cover this chipboard at 2 3/4inches by 2 3/4inches. You will also need four papers that measure 4inches by 4inches, these will be your pages. I am using the patterned papers from the Magical Forest 24 sheet paper pad by Crate Paper. To cover the chipboard for the outer covers of the book, I used double-sided tape. Then placed the chipboard 2 inche squares in the center of the patterned paper. I mitred th

Skinny Notebooks -Songs About Rainbows

Skinny Notebooks This is a project that had been sitting in my To-Do List for quite sometime and I thought now was the time to bring it together after seeing these gorgeous Magical Forest Papers from Crate Paper. This project was inspired by The Posh Paper Lady on Youtube and I thank her for giving easy to follow instructions on how to make them. You can pop them in your handbag and carry them with you, very practical. I started with some A4 size notepads, that I had purchased from our local Kmart. you can get a pack of three for around five dollars. pretty cheap! With one of the pads, I used a metal ruler and a cutting blade and cut through the pad at 7 1/2cm width and 18cm in length. This gave me two smaller notepads the same and another a little thinner. After I had cut the notepads to size, I cut the cover for them. I used some chipboard (which can also be purchased from Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft) and cut two pieces at 8cm in width and 18cm in length. Then a smaller strip for the
