Small Glue Spine Journal

This is the last of my challenge projects for this month
 and I'm sure you will find this fun and creative. 



 When you finish putting the journal pages together you can decorate it 
however you please. But, the Graphic 45 Little Woman Collection papers 
were just too beautiful not to use. It gives your small no fuss journal an
air of vintage elegance.

To start: I used 3 pieces of the Little Woman Collection: Boundless Beauty, Sisterly Love and Orchard House.


 I cut the first paper at 16cm by 22cm. The second paper was cut at 16cm by 21.5cm and the third piece of paper was cut at 21cm.



Each paper is the scored at 4 inches with the longest side up. I flip the paper around and then scored the other side at 4 inches again. This will give you a small spine once the papers have been folded.
(NOTE* each spine will be a different size)



The pages are then folded over at their score marks and glue is placed down the outside of the second (bit smaller) spine and glued into the inside arger spine. This step is repeated with the last remaining paper. So, the largest spine is the outside page and then the next smallest to the smallest. As shown below.


 That is your journal made. Now, it's up to you to decorate it.
On the front and back outside covers, I used one of the 4 by 6 inch
 Little Woman journaling cards...so very pretty!



I continued using the Graphic 45 Little Woman Stickers, tags and pockets sheet and the journaling card collections. Such a gorgeous collection, I love...


I also cut a few mats, which allow you to write on or place a beloved photo on. These mats were cut at 9.5cms by 12cms and I used vintage sepia ink to ink the edges.
I also cut a small pockets for some of the pages and used an old punch for a bit of decoration.

I cut some card stock fro my supplies for a small pocket and layered it with some off cuts from previous projects of the Little Woman papers...



On the very last page, I used my Tim Holtz Thinlits pocket strips die as a lovely decorative piece and placed some of the Little Woman embellishments in it.


 I also added an eyelet to the spine which I then thread 
a cream coloured tassle through.

Recently I joined a swap at our Australian Art Swap Group on facebook where we had to put together a flow-ish Journal. I absolutely love putting these together as it gives me a chance to use up a lot of papers and items I have been hoarding. Artist Trading Card Holder- My Island Home

 ATC HOLDERS This is a very fast and easy project. I used my the leftover image pieces from the Sweeping Plains Papers to decorate a few Artist Trading Card Holders. Each made holder can store eight ATC's.The base of the holder is made from cardstock I had in my own supplies and the pockets that hold the ATCs, I made from a manilla folder. The Base Cut your cardstock to 11" x 3". Then score at 2 1/2", 3 1/4", 7" and 7 3/4"/ Fold on score lines. The Pockets Cut your manilla folder to 6" x 4". You will need to cut and make eight pockets. Score with long side up at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2". Then turn once with short side up and score at 1/2". Fold along score lines. Cut the small square off the bottom corner and then cut from 2 3/4 score line to edge, taking off  the long 1/2" panel. Use your double sided Ranger LetterIT tape and place on the botton flap and the side flap. Fold over score lines to make your pocket. I used a 1"

Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft Creative Project

Hello Everyone, Today I was still in the mood to play with the wonderful paper from Photo Play and wanted to do a project that was fun, easy and quick. I searched Pinterest for a free downloadable  heart box  template and was quite surprised to find one straight off the bat. What you will need for this cute heart treat box: *a free printable from pinterest *a cropodile *Blazing Red Stazon ink *Photo Play Crazy for you paper *Elements sticker sheet called Wild Love *double sided tape *some thread or twine for decoration *small brads to attach handles *small piece of cheese cloth or fabric  Then I used the template to cut the shape from The Photo Play 'Crazy for you' paper and folded the paper on the marked fold lines and that gave the shape of the heart box. I inked the edges of the heart box shape with the Stazon Blazing Red Ink and was now ready to decorate the front and back of the heart.
