Art Journal Page-The Life Within The Seed

Image
Hello Everyone,  A few years back I drew and made a flower girl paper doll. She was one of my first paper dolls and after going through my paper doll journal, I realised I hadn't added one of her to it. So this project is about adding my flower girl to my paper doll journal and using up some of the scrap BoBunny patterned papers I had left over from other projects. What I used in this project: *My Doll Art Journal *A selection of BoBunny patterned papers *Black Marker *Pva glue OR glue stick *A selection of Kaisercraft paints *some buttons / decorations of your choice *Flower stamps from my supplies *Vintage Ink pad I used a pattern of my flowergirl I drew a few years back. As seen below and I cut a couple of each piece from the left over BoBunny patterned papers. The papers are wonderful to mix and match together. Once I had my individual pieces cut out I chose the ones I wanted to use to make my flower girl paper doll. I gave the edges ...

From Beads to Book -The Life Within The Seed

Image
Hello Everyone, This project is a 'carry on' from the Bead Dangle I had previously made. I classed my bead dangle as my 'seed' and now I am making a journal that grew from that seed (the bead dangle). So much inspiration came to me after making the paper layered beads, I really needed to make something for them to hang from. And the beautiful selection of BoBunny papers were actually crying out to me..."Put me in a journal....put me in a journal..." heehee! So that's exactly what I did. I gave myself a challenge to use only the patterned BoBunny papers to decorate the journal with. the papers made wonderful tags and cut outs to put on the pages. I did run out of ephemera and I ended up using a couple of images from a magazine. This journal was a little different for me and it's actually the first one I have made using a corset spine. So, it was a bit of 'trial and error' but in the end...there were no errors and it turned out so pretty...

Hello Everyone, Today I have an easy way to make your own Easter Baskets for your children or in my case for my grandchildren. On a recent shopping trip I managed to pick up some of these cardboard boxes from one of our local 'cheapo' stores. After seeing them, I thought they would look great decorated, adding some sort of handle and making up some Easter baskets from them. Once I got them home, I couldn't wait to start decorating and creating! WHAT I USED:  *Pre-made box shown above *White Gesso *BoBunny selection of patterned papers *Coloured cardboard *Aunty Vera Easter Egg Washi Tape *Brads (to hold handles on) *Selection of Prima Flowers *Cut out words from BoBunny Cottontail Pastel 12x12 Patterned Paper *Celebrate Easter Chip Board Accents from Echo Park *Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy *Glue *Outside In Easter Egg Stackables from Lawn Fawns I started by giving the edges of the boxes a coat with some white gesso. Decorating Letter Words-- The Life Within The Seed

Image
Hello Everyone ! So excited to start this month  making a few projects in the Easter theme. This project was a rather easy and fun one. I had some small wooden letters in my own stash for a couple of years and the letters combined made the word 'CREATE'. I was having a play around with them and realised if I could pick up the letter 'S', I would be able to have two words made from the same letters: that being 'EASTER' AND 'CREATES'. How fun is that! This is one of the finished decorated letter words... What I Used: * A selection of BoBunny Pattern Papers *PVA Glue (any wet glue) *A Destressing tool *Nuvo Crystal Drops *A selection of Prima flowers *Vintage coloured ink *Turquoise coloured paint (Kaisercraft brand) *Aunty Vera Washy Tape- Easter Egg Pattern *Doodlebug Shape Sprinkles-Bunnys I started by getting every letter and flipping it over and tracing around it's shape on the BoBunny patterned paper. I...
