HOME DECOR BIRDHOUSE Hello Everyone,  Hoping you are all staying healthy and warm. We have had a bit of a cold snap here on the Tweed Coast and it's been a perfect time to stay indoors and do a bit of crafting. I would have to say, this project has been one of my very favourites so far in my Home Decor projects for the month. I had been talking to my daughter, telling her how I wanted to make and decorate a fun, whimsical birdhouse this month by using some recycled cardboard. Sometimes, I think my daughter just agrees with me and nods her head but doesn't really listen to my crafting projects...lol...I was quite surprised when she popped over one afternoon and handed me an already made (not decorated) birdhouse. I was so excited knowing she actually does listen to me ramble on about my crafts. HOME DECOR THREE TIER HEARTS  Hello Everyone, This month has a wonderful theme to it... THE PLACE WHERE I BELONG ...and the only place I know I belong is at HOME...so this month I have planned a few HOME DECOR projects to brighten up your surroundings and make it feel more homely. Small Glue Spine Journal This is the last of my challenge projects for this month  and I'm sure you will find this fun and creative.   When you finish putting the journal pages together you can decorate it  however you please. But, the Graphic 45 Little Woman Collection papers  were just too beautiful not to use. It gives your small no fuss journal an air of vintage elegance. To start: I used 3 pieces of the Little Woman Collection: Boundless Beauty, Sisterly Love and Orchard House.  I cut the first paper at 16cm by 22cm. The second paper was cut at 16cm by 21.5cm and the third piece of paper was cut at 21cm. Each paper is the scored at 4 inches with the longest side up. I flip the paper around and then scored the other side at 4 inches again. This will give you a small spine once the papers have been folded. Free Spine Journal This project is about making a journal you can put and keep in your Keepsake Box you made previously. A special journal with a different type of spine. The signatures aren't sewn in the actual spine cover they are sewn together independent of the spine cover. They are attached to the back inside of the journal cover. So, when you are working in this journal, no matter what page you are working on, the journal will always lay flat. I love working in these spine free journals and hope you will make one for yourself and enjoy working in it as well. I start by making my cover. I cut the cover base from Graphic 45 chipboard; two pieces at 6 1/2 inches by 5 inches and the spine piece is cut at 6 1/2 inches by 1 inch.
