FarmHouse Market Embellishments for Wreaths- A Place Where I Belong

Image
HOME DECOR WREATHS Using FarmHouse Market Embellishments This is a fun easy little project that will add some country style charm to any wall in your home.  The wreaths themselves are made from a thin wire ring, I used what I had in my supplies, but if you have actual round pre-made wreath rings, you can use them as well. I had two small wire rings and one larger wire ring and wanted to make them thicker in size. So, I decided to wrap some masking tape around each wire ring to add some width and dimension on them. I went round at least three times, leaving the masking tape wrapped rather loosely on each ring. This gave my ring a thicker feel to it. When I was happy with the thickness, on the larger ring I wrapped a layer of macrame cord, I had in my supplies.  The finished larger ring On a smaller ring I wrapped a layer of hessian with white lace but when it came to decorating this one, the white lace over hessian wasn't working for me

HOME DECOR WIRE and PAPER ART Hello and Welcome to you all, This month has been such a wonderful month of me trying my hand at some 'Home Decor' arty projects. I have had a ball at making them. This project was definitely a first for me and I had a lot of inspiration from Pinterest. My first project (seen below) was a trial and error. I had used hot glue but after having a little chat with hubby, we both came to the conclusion, that I needed to find a thin, fast drying and clear glue, so I plodded off to our nearest Bunnings and I purchased just that. And this made all the difference when gluing the wire to the paper...it made me so happy! Wire and Paper Art Projects What I used: *Happy Jig Colour Mutli Wire Pack *Farmhouse Market Cubbies paper *Farmhouse Market Timeless Florals paper *Loctite Super Glue Control (avail. Bunnings Aust) *A sharp cutting blade *Block pieces of wood for standing *Grunge alpha Kaisercraft *Black cardboard for letters

Country Styled Wall Plaque

HOME DECOR Country Styled Wall Plaque OMGoodness!!!!! How cute is this handmade Country Styled Wall Plaque.  It's sure to brighten up any boring old wall in your home... Getting started on this little project is so very easy. Grab some recycled sturdy cardboard. I used the pizza packaging box from my Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft items. I drew up three individual pieces for the backing boards.  Roughly 2 1/2 inches wide (6cms) and 11 inches long. I have given each edge a zig zag look, to make it look like palings.  Once I had cut out the cardboard pieces, I then glued them onto the Farmhouse Market Baskets patterned paper. I wanted a bit more texture in the background, so I used modelling paste through the Birch stencil. Yes, I think I am in love with this Birch Stencil from Kaisercraft, available for purchase from Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft. I measured up the places to put the holes and used my crop-o-dile to make the holes. The top panel has two holes up the t

PUFFY PAPER HEARTS

HOME DECOR PUFFY PAPER HEARTS With this months theme, The Place Where I Belong, I seem to have gotten a feel for making some sort of hearts. I love hearts! The shape is soothing to me and the thought behind a heart to me is enchanting.  I recently made a few material hearts to hang on my window curtain in my craft room and I love gaizing up at them while crafting...it seems to calm me...this gave me an idea to try to make some paper hearts...puffy ones...that I could hang around my room as well. These paper puffy hearts are so easy to make and they look adorable hanging together. I started with a piece of photocopy paper and folded it in half. I drew one side of a heart on it and then cut it out from the fold. When you unfold the paper, you have a symetrical heart shape...so easy! You can then use this heart template to draw around on your patterned paper. I used three different patterned papers from the Farmhouse Market collection. Once cut out, I then grabbe
